Obituary for Mary Solls
Mary “Mimi” J. Solls, of Peoria, IL, passed away peacefully at OSF Hospital on Monday, July 4, 2016, at the age of 94.
Mary was born to parents, Charles and Isabell Eisley Clayton in Peoria, IL on June 8, 1922. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Esther Delzel and Margaret Hyde; eight brothers, Harold, James, Eugene, William, Charles, Ernie, Jackie, and Bradley; her husbands, Murray Solls and Robert Baugh; and her son, Jack Baugh Sr. She is survived by her sisters, Irene Carey of Peoria and Ruth Starcevich of Pekin, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In her younger years, Mary worked for Hiram Walker. She later worked for the Peoria branch of IL’s Dept. of Motor Vehicles until she retired. Mary loved spending time with her family, friends and dogs. She enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, flowers, and bargain shopping (especially for family and friends).
Mary requested there be no funeral or memorial service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
