Obituary for Merlyn D. Petty
Merlyn D. Petty 78, of Neponset passe away on Tuesday January 13, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Kewanee to Orville and Emily Sayle Petty on May 1, 1930. He married Alsraetta Hansen in Kewanee in 1965, she survives along with his sons; Gregory Petty of Chicago, Marty Petty of Kewanee, daughters Lisa (Bill) Langley and Lori (Jeff) Huber both of MO. He also leaves behind his 2 brothers, 3 sisters and 8 grandchildren. Merlyn served in the Army and was self-employed working in Home Repair, retiring in 1992. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
