Obituary for Michael Mitchell-Herriford
Michael P. Mitchell-Herriford, 46, of Galesburg passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born April 16, 1969 in Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; father, Pat Mitchell and sister, Bobbie Jo Mitchell-Herriford. He is survived by his brother, Gerald (Kelly) Mitchell of Abingdon; niece, Lauren Mitchell of Abingdon; nephew, Zachary Mitchell of Abingdon and adopted father, John Herriford of London Mills. Michael loved playing his guitar and was an avid Cubs fan. He was a very strong person and was liked by everyone that met him. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the American Legion in Abingdon. Memorials may be made to his brother to assist with his memorial marker.
