Obituary for Michael W. Flanagan Sr.
Michael W. Flanagan Sr. 68, of Washington passed away on Thursday September 24, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Eureka to Francis and Frances Green Flanagan on February 9, 1941. He is survived by his son, Michael W. (Cindi) Flanagan Jr. of Washington, sisters: Carol Mounce of Eureka and Nancy Siebert of CT and his 3 grandchildren. Michael served in the Air Force and worked in Lost Prevention for Sears for 15 years. He also worked for Butternut Bakery for 9 years and Caterpillar for 7 years. Cremation has been accorded and memorial service will be held at the Eureka Christian Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday October 1, Family and friends will gather at the Chanticleer for a meal after the service. Burial of cremains will be in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka. Memorials may be made to T.A.P.S. 100 Taps Lane Pekin, Il 61554. The Cremation Society of mid Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
