Obituary for Mildred Hicks
Mildred Catherine Hicks, 89, of Pekin passed away at Hallmark House in Pekin, IL on January 20, 2016. She was born on January 27, 1926 in Millinocket, ME to Emma F & Burdette D Miller. She married Donald Davis Hicks on April 20, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. Surviving are her son, Don (Barb) Hicks of Pontiac, two daughters, Carol (Oral) Olson of Hopedale and Flo (Joe) Berry of Mapleton, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Frank Miller of Massachusetts and a sister Elsie Boutin of Maine. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers and 10 sisters. Mildred enjoyed reading, working on crafts and spending time with her family. She will be missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
