Obituary for Mildred Mehlenbeck
Mildred A. Mehlenbeck, 88, of Peoria, IL passed away at 2:00PM Saturday May 26, 2012 at her home. She was born to Gilbert and Hazel Raistrick on August 5, 1923 in Peoria, IL. She married James R. Mehlenbeck April 23, 1966 in Lincoln, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, James and her son, Rex Branson. She graduated from Woodruff High School in 1941. She attended Bradley University before graduating from Memorial Heart Station Hospital, Miami, FL, as an R.N. in 1949. She retired after a 40 year career as a managing R.N. She was a long term member of many organizations, groups and committees, including the American Business Women's Association and Altrusa. Cremation has been accorded. Mildred and James' cremains will be buried together at Springdale Cemetery section 1, Forrest Lawn ,lot #5366, following a graveside memorial officiated by OSF Hospice Chaplain Steve at 11:00am Mon. June 11, 2012.
