Obituary for Mildred Schwartz
Mildred E. Schwartz, 94, of Pekin passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare Center in Pekin. She was born June 19, 1921 in Peoria to Harry and Viola Gomes Marshall. She married John C. Schwartz in Palmyra, MO in 1941, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Myrtle, Evelyn, Lois and Virginia. She is survived by her son, Robert Schwartz of Pontiac; daughter, Debra (James Shelby Jr.) Schwartz-Scurry of Pekin; grandchildren, Christine Scurry, Cassandra (Ben Johnson) Scurry and great-grandchildren, Keondre and Deikyn. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at Abts Mortuary in Pekin on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to St. Jude in her name.
