Milton Gene Squier 80, of Green Valley passed away Wednesday morning, October 13

, at Mardell Manor, where he has been a resident since September 2008. Formerly of Deer Creek, Illinois, Mr. Squier lived at the Trailer Park in Goodfield, IL for 3 years and for a brief period of time with his son, Monty, in Augusta, GA. ‘Gene’ loved the folks at Mardell Manor and they loved him. Words cannot express the depth of gratitude the family feels for the tender, loving care he received while in their safekeeping. Mr. Squier was a professional truck driver, a terminal manager as well as a dispatcher during the course of his career. He loved to fish. He was born in Pekin, Illinois on February 23, 1930 to Earl B. & Blanche F. (Hyatt) Squier. Married three times, he leaves behind Lee and Nelena (Squier) White of Pekin, IL, Monty and Julie Squier of Augusta, GA, Kelly and Jaime Squier of Morton, IL and Larry and Kim (Squier) Brown of Pekin, IL. Colleen (step- daughter) and Steve Aeschilman of Deer Creek, IL and Patrick (step son) and Chris Carmody of Bloomington, IL. Three daughters from a former marriage survive as well. Linda, Terri and Lu Ann (Tina) Johnson of the Peoria area. His sister Mrs. Robert (Marian) Reid resides in Pekin, Illinois. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Darrell Squier, Conrad Squier, Ronald Squier and a grandson, Seth Benjamin White. Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Milton Gene Squier, at Mardell Manor, 313 Morrison St. Green Valley, Illinois 61534 on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 1:30pm. Pastor Edward Henry of 1

The family request that flowers not be sent, but that contributions are made to Mardell Manor to assist with the care of their residents. Mr. Squier will be greatly missed by all who know and loved him.
