Obituary for Moneta Sphar
Moneta K. Sphar, 86, of Peoria passed away at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Buehler Home. She was born August 4, 1929, to Rudolph and Kathryn (DeWerff) Krutski in Nokomis, IL. She attended Nokomis schools and graduated from Nokomis Township High School, class of 1947. She married Charles Sphar on November 5, 1947, and he survives. Also surviving are a son, Charles Jr. (Pat) Sphar, a granddaughter, Juli (Philip) Gile, and 22 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Sphar; and a sister, Faye Hager. She was a former bowler and an avid golfer. She also enjoyed her Bunco club. She last worked at P.A. Bergners. There will be no services. Cremation has been accorded and burial will be in Mt. Hawley Cemetery.
