Obituary for Norma J. Robison

Norma J. Robison, 88, of Pekin, Illinois passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home.

Norma was born January 26, 1935, in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of Fredrick and Florine Albrecht. She lived her entire life in Pekin, Illinois.

Norma married James Robison on June 29, 1957, in Pekin, Illinois at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2021.

Norma is survived by two sons, Jim (Sheri) Robison of Hopedale, Illinois and Jon Robison of Pekin, Illinois; one grandson, David Robison of Hopedale, Illinois and one sister, Christine O’Hara of Pekin, Illinois.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Fred, Bob, Jack, and Larry and two sisters, Marilyn, and Florine.

Norma graduated from Academy of Our Lady in Peoria, Illinois. After her marriage to Jim, over their life span together, they built six homes together, working side by side. She was a homemaker, Cub Scout leader, crafter, and excellent cook. She was famous for her homemade German Potato Salad and decorated sugar cookies. She enjoyed planning and hosting family gatherings. She loved decorating her home for every holiday. She was a diehard Cub fan and enjoyed going to the games with her husband, Jim, and their Caterpillar friends. She loved watching sports on TV.

Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her joy was apparent when she was spending time with her family and friends.

Norma was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, Illinois.

Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, Illinois. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, Illinois in her name.
