Obituary for Norman E. Barr
Norman E. Barr 76, of Bellevue passed away on Monday January 12, 2009 at his residence. Born in Peoria on October 21, 1932 to George and Mabel Mayer Barr. He married Jane Miller in Bellevue on March 30, 1957, she preceded him in death on March 3, 1994. He is also preceded in death by his parents and sister Goldie Brooks. Norman is survived by his sons; Michael and (Sheri) of Canton, Timothy and (Kristeen) of Bellevue, Douglas and (Michelle) of Glasford, brother Charles and (Phyllis) Barr of Bellevue and his 8 grand and 2 great grandchildren. Norman served in the Army during the Korean War, was a member of the former Bellevue Bible Church and was a volunteer at the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department. Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Thursday January 15, at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the White Rose Fellowship Church in Bellevue. Memorials may be made in his name to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
