Obituary for Norman Lippert
Norman P. Lippert, 84, of Lacon, IL passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1928 to Harry and Marcella Hierman Lippert in Concord, IL. He married Dona J. Moore in 1952 in Peoria, IL. She survives along with his children, Steven Lippert of Peoria, IL, Rick (Connie) Lippert of Morton, IL, Dennis Lippert of Dallas, TX, David (Amber) Lippert of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Cori) Lippert, Lindsey (Mark) Sefried, Benjamin Lippert, Jennifer (Justin) Rahe; great-grandchildren, Audrey Sefried, Eva Sefried, Tyler Lippert, Lauren Rahe, Jacob Rahe; brothers, Beryl Lippert of Concord, IL, Wilbur (Sally) Lippert of Arenzville, IL, Richard (Kay) Lippert of Arenzville, IL; sister, Charlene Lippert of Morton, IL and sister-in- law, Betty Lippert of Jacksonville, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gordon Lippert and Max Lippert. Norman served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Caterpillar for 42 years retiring in 1992. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and collector. He enjoyed bird watching and wood working. He was a former member of the Chillicothe Sportsman’s Club. He was a member of the American Legion in Lacon and life member of the NRA. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin, IL. Private graveside services will be held in Arenzville, IL at a later date. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice 2265 W.
