Obituary for Patricia Koener
Patricia Ann (Jordan-Ramsay-Kalb) Koener, 66, of Bartonville, IL passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. She was born December 20, 1946 in Rock Island, IL to Orville and Dorothy Jordan. She married Ralph Frank Koener in December 1975. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her birth parents, Orville Jordan and Dorothy Parso; adopted parents, Earl and Clara Ramsay; foster parents, Murray and Margaret Kalb; baby sister, Lenora; step daughter, Karen Morgan and granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Redell. She is survived by her son, Mark Koener of Bartonville, IL; daughters, Diana Koener of Twin Falls ID, Lynn Koener of Carbondale, IL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sisters, Alberta (David) Gehrt of Speer, IL, Shirley JoAnn (Ronnie) Barden of West Peoria, IL and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Patricia was a Registered Nurse for 32 years. She worked for OSF St. Francis Hospital, Caterpillar and Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID retiring in 2007. While working at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center she won the Dr. Frist Humanitarian Award for Excellence in Nursing. She was a member of the Edelstein Congregational Church where a memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 12 noon. Pastor David Stammerjohn will officiate.
