Patricia “Patti” Lee Lewandowski, 76, of Pekin, IL passed away at 4:42 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
She was born February 10, 1948, in Pekin, IL to Joseph and Josephine Slatner Simoncini.
Patti married the love of her life Robert “Bob” M. Lewandowski on November 4, 1989, in Maywood, IL; he survives. She is also survived by her boy “Maxwell”; her chosen family, the Abts family; dear friend, Nina Underwood; devoted grade school friend, Mary Jane Sours; friends, Betty Russell, Mark and Liz Rizzo, Carol Tassart and countless other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Simoncini; mother, Josephine Korsmeyer; brother, Tim Simoncini and devoted friend, Mary Waskowski.
Patti graduated from St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and Pekin Community High School.
She worked as a secretary since high school graduation last working for ECS retiring in June of 2011.
Patti loved reading, watching TV, playing cards and shopping with her friends.
Bob wishes to give a special thank you and say how grateful he is for the wonderful care given to Patti by her “special daughter”, Tammy Abts and her sons, Ryan and Brenner Abts, her OSF Hospice Nurse, Michelle, her dear friends at Illinois Cancer Center Pekin and the entire staff at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate.
