Obituary for Patricia Smith
Patricia Ann Smith, age 71 of 7103 South Kingston Mines Road, Glasford, IL passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at 1:28 AM. Patricia was born in Jacksonville, IL on December 25, 1943. She graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1962. She was married to Daniel H. Smith on January 19, 1963. Preceding her in death were her parents Harley and Eithel Smith. Surviving are her husband, Daniel Smith of Glasford, IL, her children, Rodney (Rhonda) Smith of Mapleton, IL, Marc (Leann) Smith of Canton, IL, Darren (Amanda) Smith of Willow Spring, NC, her brother, Carroll (Kathy) Smith of The Villages, FL. Patricia had 7 grandchildren (Derek, Levi, Matthew, Kaeleigh, Kayden, Kenton and Ali). Patricia was self employed as a beautician, child care professional, worked for Tazewell Publishing, and worked for Illini Bluffs School District #327 for 30 plus years as a bus driver. Patricia's hobbies were participating as a Cub Scout Leader, 4H leader/instructor, a member of the River Valley Antique Tractor Club. While being a member of the River Valley Antique Tractor Club in Mapleton, IL, she also served as the Treasurer. Patricia was also very involved in supporting her kids, grand kids and Illini Bluffs extracurricular activities. She also enjoyed playing cards, doing yard work, playing computer games and being around family. Patricia was also an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. The visitation for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd at the Glasford Methodist Church located at 207 4th Street, Glasford, IL 61533 from 4PM to 7PM. The memorial service will immediately follow the visitation. There will be refreshments provided by the family. Flowers can be sent to Glasford Methodist Church at 207 4th Street, Glasford, IL 61533. The family prefers donations in lieu of flowers. Donations can be made out to the Illini Bluff School Booster Clubs.
