Obituary for Paul Coogan
Paul T. Coogan, 58, of Peoria, passed away at 6:47 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at his residence. He was born on March 10, 1952, to James M. and Eileen O’Brien Coogan, Sr. Surviving are his father of Peoria; two brothers, James Jr. (Annie Laurie) Coogan of Santé Fe, NM and Thomas (Belinda Chambika) Coogan of Washington, DC; two sisters, Sheila (Michael) Caminiti of Winston Salem, NC and Christy (John) Frampton of Dunlap, IL; his nieces and nephews, Caitlin Coogan, Michael Coogan, Devin Coogan, Mairead Coogan, Joseph Caminiti, Jeana Caminiti, Johnny Frampton, Tommy Frampton and Liz Frampton. He was preceded in death by his mother. Paul was a 1970 graduate of Bergan High School. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights where a Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 with Msgr. William Watson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with recitation of the Rosary at 6:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be 30 minutes before the Mass at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside for burial of ashes will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Community Clinic. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria was in charge are his arrangements.
