Obituary for Peggy Brushaber
Peggy L. Brushaber (Carpenter), age 52, of Peoria, IL went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 8:04am, at her home with her husband and family by her side. She was born on August 18, 1960 in Peoria, IL to John C. Carpenter Sr. of Peoria and Wilma M. Carpenter of Washington, IL both parents survive. She married the man of her dreams, Thomas M. Brushaber on April 18, 1981 in Pekin, IL. He survives along with one daughter, Sierra Gordon; one grandson, Garry Gordon both of Canton, IL; two sisters, Ruth Courtney of Washington, IL, Penny (Rick) Brown of East Peoria, IL; three brothers, John Carpenter Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Thomas Carpenter of East Peoria, IL, and Mark (Lyn) Carpenter of Cuba, IL. Preceded her in death is one son, David Stevens; one granddaughter, Annabelle Bohannon; one brother, Cleo Carpenter and her grandparents. Peggy served in the Army National Guard. Her last place of employment was with Confidential Security Corp of Peoria, IL. Peggy was a member of Victory Baptist Church on Starr St., Peoria, IL. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends, reading her bible, going to church, playing games, dancing, fishing and of course being on her computer. With her request there will be no funeral services or visitation, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a celebration of Peggy’s life on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her church Victory Baptist located at 2414 W. Starr St., Peoria, IL from 3pm to 5pm. Her husband and family would like to thank Harbor Light Hospice for the support they gave us in time of need. The family request that no flowers or cards be sent, to please make a donation to Harbor Light Hospice.
