Obituary for Peggy Sue Harbin
Peggy Sue Harbin, 58, of Pekin, IL formerly of Creve Coeur, IL died on November 29, 2016 at 10:30 p.m. at UnityPoint Health Methodist, Peoria, IL. She was born on November 4, 1958 in Peoria, IL to Sydney M. and B. Maxine Sullivan Bowcott. She married Larry L. Harbin on November 8, 1975 in Peoria, IL. He survives in Pekin, IL. Also surviving are two sons, Jared P. (Keri) Harbin of Tremont, IL and Justin M. Harbin of Pekin, IL; one granddaughter, Emma Griswold also of Tremont, IL; two sisters, Janet (Kevin) Wilson of Nashville, TN and Stephanie (John) Zilch of Pekin, IL; one brother, Jeffrey (Diane) Bowcott of Bartonville, IL; nine nieces and two nephews. She is also survived by her beloved pets, Bessie and Carly. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Patrick J. and Michael S. Bowcott. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 4835 in Creve Coeur, IL where she volunteered many hours of service. She had tremendous respect for the veteran community, putting service to them before herself. She attended Liberty Beauty College in Peoria, IL. She worked as a fitness trainer in Creve Coeur, IL. She also operated a cleaning service for many years. Cremation rites were accorded by Abts Mortuary in Pekin, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Stroke Association.
