Obituary for Phyllis Jean Headley
Topeka - Phyllis Jean Headley 78, of Topeka passed away Wednesday December 5, 2007 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born April 25, 1929 in Chicago to Ryland and Mary Anderson Pierce. She married Gerald “Jerry” Headley in Peoria in 1973, he survives along with her children; Mary Duty, Sharon Brashears, Jeanna Thompson, Joanna Mourning, Darleen Ajrulaj, Robert Mourning, Rollie Joe Mourning, Ryland Woertendyke, Eileen Woertendyke, Pattricia Woertendyke, Geraldine Heredia, Merle Headley and many grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 grandson and her son Vernon. Phyllis worked as a Nurse Aide for Morton Terrace and Morton Villa for 30 years, retiring in 2001. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
