Obituary for Ralph Kellogg
Ralph J. Kellogg, 83, of Phoenix, AZ formerly of Pekin, IL passed away Friday September 21, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria, IL. He was born February 9, 1929 in Streator, IL to Arthur and Edna Clifford Kellogg. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Earl Kellogg, Arthur Clifford Kellogg and sister, Grace Kellogg. He is survived by his brother, Robert Kellogg of Costa Mesa, CA; two sisters, Helen Swisher of Sun Lakes, AZ, Rita M. Windish of Peoria Heights, IL; thirteen nieces and nephews and twenty-eight great nieces and nephews. Ralph served in the U.S. Army; he was a Korean War Veteran. He graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1948. He retired from JC Penney Company in 1993 after 30 years of service. He was a past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, IL and active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ. He will be remembered for his selfless loving and caring ways making each and every holiday, birthday, wedding, funeral and baptism of family members and friends and sharing his love and prayers in special and personal ways. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday September 25, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, IL at 10 a.m. Fr. Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin, IL. Memorials may be made to Boys Town in his name.
