Obituary for Raymond Jack Raley
Raymond Jack Raley, 83, of Washington passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. He was born May 6, 1932 in Sullivan, IN to Golden and Roberta Clark Raley. He married Gillian Lee on August 11, 1984 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Rachel (Steven) Patrick of LaSalle, Andrea Raley of Washington, Jonathon (Amber) Raley of San Antonio, TX; Laura Raley of Lapeer, MI; grandsons, Lucas and James Patrick; sister, Frances (Duane) Love of New Mexico and nephew, Michael Raley of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph and beloved cocker spaniel, Shelby. Jack served in the U.S. Army. He was an Economics Professor at ICC in East Peoria, retiring in 2001. He continued to teach part time after his retirement. He enjoyed sports and loved watching college basketball. Cremation has been accorded and a service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to TAPS in his name. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
