Obituary for Richard A. Skillestad
Richard A. Skillestad 77, of Peoria passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2008 at his home. Born in Brainerd, MN on November 30, 1930 to Ole and Alvina Hansen Skillestad. He is survived by his daughters; Christina (Michael) Brown of Manito, Nancy Skillestad of Bartonville, brother Sheldon Skillested of Las Vegas, NV and his 10 grandchildren. His brothers Roger and Wayne and daughter Deborah Cary preceded him in death. Richard served in the Air Forces during the Korean War and was a Machinist at Caterpillar, retiring in 1985. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary 905 S. 5th St. Pekin on Tuesday November 25,. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
