Obituary for Richard Dick F. Lynn
Richard (Dick)F. Lynn of 150 Yordy Rd. Apt.319 Morton passed away at12:25 Thursday April the 3rd at Rosewood Nursing Home in E. Peoria. He was born May 8, 1926 in Jacksonville, Il. to Frederick and Vivian (Skinner) Lynn.He Was preceeded in death by his parents, a sister Jeanne Snyder and a brother Jon Michael Lynn. He was formerly married to France M.(Heimlich)Lynn. Surviving are a brother William (Betty)Lynn. Two sons, Richard (Rick)K. of Grand Junction, Co. Anthony (Tony) J. of Morton.2 daughters Vicki F. and Lori K. Lynn also of Morton. Four granddaughters, Kari (Jared) Classen, Keli and Angie Lynn and A'livia Braden-5 great-grandaughters Isabella and Ava Classen, Alana and Jaci Lynn and Liv Oliver. Two Great-Grandsons Tyler and Kobe Oliver along with three nieces and two nephews-Very special friends Chris Lynn, Mel Smyzer and Jenny Caraway who held a very special place in his heart He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 318 and enjoyed many hours with his longtime friends He served in the Korean War as an Radio operator. Richard was employed in the sales industry for many years before retiring in 1989 to work at Pine Lakes Golf Club following his second love of golfing. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held April the 6th at the American Legion of Morton with a Military service at 2:00 and brief religious ceremony by Pastor Jeff Johnston. Following Ceremony family will greet with friends in a celebration of his life. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
