Obituary for Richard Hershman
Richard D. Hershman 58, of Bartonville passed away on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Newton, IA to Clark and Mollie Geith Hershman on March 30, 1951. He married Karen Hicks in Moline on December 1, 1979, she survives. Also surviving are his parents of Rock Island, sons Stevie (Amber) Hershman of Bettendorf, IA, Shawn Hicks of Davenport, IA, brothers: Steve (Diana Sears) Hershman of Cambridge, Scott (Teresa) Hershman of Rock Island, sisters Kris (Bret) Fornwalt of Wildwood, MO, Kathy Gannon of Overland Park, KS and his 5 grandchildren. Richard served in the Army during Vietnam and was a Machinist at Caterpillar and belonged to the U.A.W. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made at the Southside Bank to help with expenses. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
