Obituary for Robert Fidler
Robert D. Fidler, 56, of Mackinaw passed away Monday May 14, 2012 at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. He was born July 30, 1955 in Peoria to Richard and Earlene Biddison Fidler. He married Sharolyn Kennington November 16, 1974 in Mossville. She preceded him in death September 1, 2008 in Hopedale. His mother also preceded him in death. He is survived by his father, Richard Fidler of Mountain View, AR; son, Chad (Marni) Fidler of Peoria; daughters, Miranda (Tyson) Markley of New York, NY, Samantha Fidler of Mackinaw; grandchildren, Hope Fidler and Collin Fidler. He is also survived by his sister, Julie Fidler of Batesville, AR; brother, Mike Fidler of Mountain View, AR and two nephews. He worked for Mitsubishi Motors in Bloomington as an electrician for 21 years retiring in 2009. Robert was an extremely patient, loving and compassionate man. He worked hard to provide for his family, never complaining even during difficult times. He was very involved with his children, everything from room parent to cooking and cleaning. He loved music and his cars. He played drums and was in several bands. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held Friday May 18, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Barracks Cater Inn, 1224 W. Pioneer Parkway, Peoria.
