Obituary for Roberta Jones
Roberta F. Jones, 86, of Morton passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born August 7, 1928 in Springfield, MO to Robert and Irma Jacker Smith. She married Thomas J. Jones Sr., he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Stephen Schaefer. She is survived by her daughter, Tami Treece of Morton; son, Tom (Lisa Rendleman) Jones, Jr. of Morton; grandchildren, Jeremy Treece, Jaimie (Cody) Pruss, Jenifer Treece; sisters, Dorisjean Patzer of Sublet, Joyce (Gene) Schrage of Ft. Myers, FL and several nieces and nephews. Roberta was a professional cake decorator. She liked attending church and was a loving mother and grandmother. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 201 W. Chicago Street, Morton, IL 61550. Fr. Robert Lewis will officiate.
