Obituary for Ronald Berg
Ronald “Pup” Dean Berg 47, of Laura passed away at 8am on Sunday November 7, 2010 at Proctor Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1963 in Peoria, IL. He was the beloved son of Donald E. and Sylvia Childress Berg. He was preceded in death by his father, and nephew; Nathan Torbert. He is survived by his three children; Levi, Lucas and Kaylee, all are students at Stark County Schools. He is also survived by his mother of Princeville, two sisters; Becky (Tim) Williams of Wyoming, Kathy (Dale) Markham of Creve Coeur, nieces; Dedre (Lonny) Dennison, Andrea and Chelsea Markham. Ron was a graduate of Wyoming High School and Black Hawk Junior College, and he served 5 years as an MP in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Stark County Congregational Church and an avid Nascar fan. He was a devoted father enjoying his weekends with his kids, watching movies and going to baseball games. He enjoyed spending time with his children until his battle with colon cancer ended his life. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 13, 2010 at Stark Congregational Church in Stark at 2 pm with a visitation 1 hour prior. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to his mother to go towards medical and burial expenses resulting from his long illness.
