Obituary for Ronald (Bushhog) Jason Sr.
Ronald (Bushhog) Jason Sr. from Varna, Il. passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria, Il. with family by his side. He was born in Princeton, Il. August 22, 1954 to Howard and Ruth (Haun) Jason. He married Sherry Mitchell in Hot Springs, Ark. May 15, 1989. Ronald grew up in the Lacon and Varna area. He was a truck driver for many years last working at Winstrom Windows in Toluca until he became disabled. He was a Vietnam veteran serving from 1972-1975. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Tonya Jason. Ron is survived by his wife Sherry, his children, Monique (Sean Sr.) Lacey of Chillicothe, Ronald (Wendy) Jason Jr, and Tina (Kurt) Eiserer all of Joplin, Missouri. Grandchildren Cynthia (Kurt) Peters of Minonk, Il, JR Rebholz of Varna, Sean Lacey Jr. of Chillicothe, and Rachel Lacey of East Peoria. Great grandchildren Ronald, Melody, and Sophia Peters of Minonk, and Addalynn Lacey of East Peoria. He was loved by so many friends and family. He loved his fast cars, motorcycles and the Grateful Dead. Ronald was always the life of a party. He will be missed by many. Cremation rights have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at Abts Mortuary 905 S 5th St, Pekin, Il from 5-7 pm. There will be a Celebration of Life and burial of ashes in the Jason cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Ronald Jason Memorial Fund at the First National Bank of Lacon to help the family with funeral expenses.
