Obituary for Ronald Searle
Ronald L. Searle 76, of Washington, IL passed away Saturday March 12, 2011 at 5:10 pm at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born July 25, 1934 to Robert L. and Frances I. Wood Searle at the Western Powder Company Mill, Line House #3 in Edwards, IL. He married Helen Manley on November 19, 1966 in Peoria, IL, she survives along with his children; Steve (Cheri) Searle of Metamora, IL, Donald (Judy) Searle of Washington, IL, Ronda Searle of Washington, IL, Stan, Steve and Stewart Hopper, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister; Robert (Marsha) Searle of Cuba, IL, Audrey (Kenrick) Hopkin of Barnhart, MO, John (Dorthy) Searle of Glasford, IL, James (Susan) Searle of Pekin, IL, and Fritz Searle of Washington, IL, and sister-in-law; Nora Searle of Lawrenceburg, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Norm Searle of Lawrenceburg, TN. Ron served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He retired from the Carpenters Local 183 in 1997 after 31 years. He was an avid motor cycle rider, a life member of H.O.G. and the American Motor Cycle Association. He will be greatly missed by his beloved pets, his family, friends and everyone who’s life he touched. Cremation has been accorded and Military Rites will be held at 2 pm on Saturday March 19, 2011 at the V.V.I. Bunker, 100 W. Bittersweet Rd in Sunnyland, IL with a Celebration of Life to follow.
