Obituary for Rose Marie Brown Bacon
Rose Marie Brown Bacon 56, of Peoria passed away on Monday June 30, 2008 at her residence. Born in Peoria on September 16, 1951 to George and Phyllis Jean Davis Brown. She married Fred S. Lee in 1974 and later married Robert William Bacon Jr. in Peoria on July 16, 1993; he preceded her in death on January 26, 2007. Her sister Barbara Detra also preceded her in death. Rose is survived by her parents of Peoria, children: Jennifer Lee of Nashville, TN, Scott (Tamara) Lee of Metamora, Chenoa (Jason) Kuester of Champaign, Curtis (Rachel) Lee of Quincy, step-son Robert Bacon III of Brimfield, sister Elizabeth Betty (Gene) Southard of Peoria Heights, brothers: Joseph and William (Donna) Brown both of Peoria and her five grandchildren. She worked as a Secretary in the Insurance Department at U of I School of Medicine in Peoria and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where a memorial service will be held on Monday July 7, at 5:30 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Dr. Ritch Boerckel will officiate. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
