Obituary for Sally Jo Hamma
Sally Jo Hamma 62, of Delavan passed away on Thursday December 17, 2009 at her residence. Born in Keokuk, IA to Floyd and Bess Samuels Seward on July 18, 1947. She married Micheal Hamma in Nauvoo, IL on March 25, 1975, he survives. Also surviving are his children: Michael Hamma of Burlington, IA, Kelly (Steve) Watts of South Korea, Jill Vetter of Hartsburg and grandchildren: Steven and Preston Watts, Adam Hamma, Adreanna, Alex and Hayden Vetter. Her parents preceded her in death. Sally Jo was a Homemaker, loved going to New Orleans, was always afraid to fly but flew for the first time in the summer of 2009 to San Antonio, TX. She was an amateur photographer, liked going to movies, shopping at rummage sales and was a member of the Ft. Madison, IA Art Guild and won many ribbons from the DP online challenge. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Sunday December 20, at 1 p.m. at the Emden Christian Church in Emden, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Illinois Cancer Care, 8940 N. Woodsage Rd. Peoria, IL 61615. The Cremation Society of id-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
