Obituary for Sandy Palmer
Sandy Kay Palmer 64, of Pekin passed away Thursday March 3, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born October 22, 1946 in Peoria to Sampson and Alta Bell Curtis Callear. She married James Palmer June 29, 1979 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 2008. She is also preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Tammy Sue and son; Ronnie Lee. She is survived by her daughter; Sandy Farmer of Pekin, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother; Sam Callear of North Pekin, 2 sisters; Sue Johnson of East Peoria and Clara Hatcher of Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law; Anita Callear of East Peoria and several nieces and nephews. Sandy was a NASCAR fan and she loved fishing. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held Thursday March 10, 2011 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin from 4 to 6 pm. A dinner will follow the service at the VFW in Creve Coeur.
