Obituary for Sarah Holm
Sarah M. Holm 64 of Peoria passed away on Friday February 5, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Hannibal, MO on September 12, 1945 to Sidney and Ruth Turner Monroe. She is survived by her son Andrew “Drew” Holm of Peoria, sisters: Ruth Ann “Boots” Monroe Lundberg of Taylor, MO and Sidney “Sid” Monroe Anderson of Cambridge, MD. She also leaves behind Boots children: Carl “Nip” of CO, Robert “Tuck” of MO, Christopher of MO, Barbara of IL, Jane of MO, John of AZ and Sid’s children: Brad and Connie both of MD. Her parents and niece Carol preceded her in death. Sarah worked as a Purchasing Agent for S&S Builders Hardware in Peoria for around 14 years and was of the Christian faith. She was known to many as “Mom” and was a fabulous painter. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held on Saturday February 20th at Johnny’s Hideaway on the Peoria Riverfront from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of the donors choice. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
