Obituary for Sarah Ruth Anne Seybold
Sarah Ruth Anne Seybold, born July 28, 1978 passed into eternity on November 10, 2019 at the age of 41. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Glenn Seybold, and her stepfather, Dustin Hacker. She is survived by her children, Alexandra (Kristian) Nelson and grandson, Sebastian, of Kansas City, Catherine Huling of Morton, Ethan Hacker and Carter Hacker, both of Peoria; her grandmother, Peggy Seybold of Lakeland, Florida; her mother, Leslie Hacker of Peoria; her sisters, Angela (Jeremy) Noel of Washington, Liberty (Travis) Binegar of Bartonville and her brother, Josephus of Peoria.

Sarah had an incredibly vivacious and effervescent personality. Her ready laughter and quick smile were uplifting; her sharp wit wildly entertaining. She was beautiful inside and out and a very giving person. She wore her heart on her sleeve and never understood why it got damaged. She loved fiercely.

She had a plan for her life, evidenced by the 2020 calendar and collections of items she saved to be used later. Her cherished memories fill boxes. She surrounded herself with things of comfort which include a large number of friends who love her. Outspoken and often embarrassingly honest, you always knew where you stood with Sarah.

Being bi-polar, sometimes the dark side would win over her exuberance and she sank equally low. An incredible depth of anguish would overtake her as she struggled with anxieties and depression. She lived to the full extent of physical experience, up or down. She was passionate and fully engaged with anything she did and those she encountered.

Sarah was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and bright color. She could take a pile of uninteresting things and create ornaments and items of interest and beauty. It was lovely to see life expressed through her skills. She loved to share her gifts and life with others. She loved socks, boxes, mirrors and dogs. She enjoyed hard work and seemed tireless. Life fascinated her and in turn she was truly a fascinating woman.

She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Bible Church, 2200 W. Nebraska, Peoria, IL 61604. Gifts to defray funeral expenses will be accepted in lieu of flowers if you wish.
