Obituary for Sean Michael Long
Sgt. Sean Michael Long, 28, of Peoria passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home and went to heaven in God’s arms, loved by all his family. He was born in Peoria to John and Debra Johnson Long on July 8, 1988. He is survived by his father, John; mother and step-father, Debra (Gary) Lawrence Sr.; siblings, Cpt. David Closen, Cpt. Deanna Closen-Ruder, Darren Closen, Douglas Closen, Johnny Long, Angela “Baby Sister” Long, Gary (Maureen) Lawrence Jr. Army Specialist, twins, Thomas Lawrence and Timothy (Sabrina) Lawrence, Kari (Mike) Carter, Jodi (Chris) Adams and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. His maternal grandparents, Melvin and Marilyn Johnson and paternal grandparents, Mildred and Shirley Long preceded him in death. Sean served in the U.S. Army out of Ft. Campbell, KY 101st Airborne Division where he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, 2

at 2 p.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL with Military Honors. Memorials may be made to Wings for Warriors or Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria.
