Obituary for Sharon Pusey
Sharon L. Pusey, 71, of Pekin passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born January 31, 1943 in Streator to Elmer and Doris Farner Uphoff. She married Russell L. Pusey March 28, 1964 in Creve Coeur, he preceded her in death February 23, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Roxanna Keyes of Champaign, Shari (Chad) Wage of Pekin; son, Rusty (Sarah) Pusey of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Uphoff of Peoria, John (Lynn) Uphoff of Peoria; two sisters, Sandra Wiebler of Bartonville, Fern (Bud) Prater of Rome and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was a longtime member of the Pekin Moose Lodge, where she served as Senior Regent and Treasurer. She was an avid card player. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. A private family burial will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes in her name.
