Obituary for Sharon Watkins
Sharon K. Watkins, 76, of Peoria passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 6, 1938 in Peoria to Caleb and Violet Johnson Dimon Purvis. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Angel Lee McCulloch. She is survived by her children, Kristal Lynn McCulloch of Peoria, Kathy Marie McCulloch of Peoria, Steven Andrew McCulloch of Lebanon, TN; sisters, Shirley Johnson of Pekin, Dona Dimon of Peoria, Dayan Dimon of Peoria; nieces, Dawn Cole, Ursula Dimon, Paralee Jenkins; great-niece, Mya Jenkins and her beloved cat, Butterbean. Sharon was an Engineer for Hanson Engineering in Springfield and also owned and operated a boarding home in Springfield for many years. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Peoria. She donated too many veterans and children’s organizations and Indian schools. She was a Mesquakie-Sauk-Fox Indian. Cremation has been accorded and a private family service will be held.
