Obituary for Sheila Ann Dourneen
Sheila Ann Dourneen 71, a resident of 1200 Maple St. Pekin for 70 years passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2009 at Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care Center in Pekin. Born on her mothers birthday August 5, 1937 to Michael and May Hore Dourneen in Peoria. She is survived by her brothers; John, Terry and Philip (Nancy) Dourneen all of Pekin, sister Maureen (Dean) Burns of Peoria and her 6 nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. Sheila worked at Hecht’s Bonnie Shop, American Distillery, Oberle Oil and AT&T as an Operator. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church were a funeral mass will be held on Saturday May 16, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jeffrey Laible will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Heading Ave Franciscans, the Salvation Army or St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
