Obituary for Sherri Van Hooser-Evans
Sherri K. Van Hooser-Evans, 69, of Bartonville, IL died at 6:30 a.m. June 16, 2012 at her home. She was born August 7, 1942 in Minier, IL to Wallace Nafziger and Ruth Oswald Raymer. She married Terry Evans on April 12, 2000 in Sarasota, FL. He survives. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norm VanHooser; sister, Bonnie Larson; both parents and stepson, Scott VanHooser. Surviving are her stepchildren, Rick (Donna) VanHooser, Norma Dollinger, and Vicky (Todd) Rankin all of Toluca; numerous grandchildren; three stepsisters, Alberta Embry and Cheryl Love both of Mackinaw, and Florence Rollings of Minier. Sherri and Norm, who were married in 1968 owned and operated their own trucking business. Sherri worked as a customer service representative at Cilco for 14 years before retiring. She was of the Mennonite faith. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials can be made to the Methodist Hospice, 221 N.E. Glen Oak Ave, Peoria, IL 61636.
