Sheryl Lynn Dion 54, of Orlando, FL formally of Washington, IL departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer on Thursday April 14, 2016 at the Hospice Home in Peoria. Born in Peoria on August 30, 1961 to Gary and Martha Hinton Barton. Sheryl is survived by her mother: Marty (Tom) Cain, brother Gary Barton, sister Christine Mertes, nephews: Vinnie and Ryan Mertes and longtime companion Richard Bianco. Her father preceded her in death. She worked as a Bartender and Real Estate agent. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in her name to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
