Obituary for Shirley Berfield
Shirley Jean Berfield 76, of Pekin passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2009 at Fondulac Rehab in East Peoria. Born in Manito on February 7, 1933 to Virgil and Goldie Thomas Seeyle. She married Donald Berfield Sr. in Pekin on June 21, 1954. She is survived by her daughters: Penny Berfield and Traci Kyle both of Peoria, Debra Wilson of Pekin, Melody (Jesse) Richmond of Spickard, MO, sister Goldie Bush of Galesburg, ex-husband Donald of Spickard, MO and her 9 grand and 14 great grandchildren. Her parents, son Donald Berfield Jr. and 2 sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Shirley worked in Housekeeping at the Pekin Holiday Inn for 5 years and Pekin Hospital for several years. Cremation has bee accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in her name to T.A.P.S. 100 Taps Ln. Pekin, IL 61554. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
