Shirley E. Kucavik, 67, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born November 3, 1950 in Peoria to William and Lora Sherman Whitfield. Her parents and nephew, Nick Whitfield preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, James (Cristina) Slater, Christopher (Dawn) Slater, Jason (Donna) Wainright, Sarah Johnson, Natalie (Robert) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Derek Slater, Jared Slater, Ashley Slater, Tiffany Slater, Ryan Slater, Tytus Wainright, Gregory Tuley, Samantha Tuley, Elizabeth Johnson, Phoenix Johnson, Alexis McClaskey, Victoria Crow, Brody Crew, Karadee Kirkpatrick, Aubrey Kirkpatrick, Evelynn Kirkpatrick; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Panky, Carter Johnson; her cherished companion, Daniel Zeller; his children, Holly Zeller, Amanda Zeller, Adam Zeller; siblings, Nicholas Whitfield, Mary Jane Shea, William Whitfield; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Tippy and Gypsy. Shirley worked for Wendy’s Eye Glass Hut. She graduated from Manuel High School and ICC. She was a member of AA. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, shoes, Facebook and was an avid coffee drinker. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cremation will be accorded following the services.
