Stephen Paul Bauer, 92, of Manito, IL passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Pekin Manor in Pekin, IL.
He was born October 28, 1931, in Black River Falls, WI to George and Juliana Taubel Bauer. His parents; five sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
He married the love of his life, Wanda L. Williams on July 16, 1955, in Missouri; she survives. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Linda Bauer, Joy Cook and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Stephen served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an electrician for Powerton, retiring November 18, 1988.
He graduated from Black River Falls High School. He was a member of the Pekin Moose Lodge and IBEW.
Stephen was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will be held in Kirksville, MO at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Manito in his name.
