Obituary for Stephen R. Sours
Stephen R. Sours, 62, of Peoria passed away Sunday July 29, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 18, 1950 in Peoria to Charles and Helen Tribbett Sours. He married Alice Bruce in Peoria. She survives along with his mother, Helen; children, Pamela (Andrew) Rhodes, Stephen A. Sours, Mary (Matt) Thill, Stephanie Parish; step sons, Darrell Miller, John Miller and Michael Miller; brothers, Jay Sours and Dennis Sours. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Stephen loved fishing, camping, target shooting, hunting, boating, wood working, riding motorcycles and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Journey of Faith church in Peoria. A funeral service will be held Wednesday August 1, 2012 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Paul Harshbarger will officiate. Burial will follow in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. A visitation will be held Tuesday July 31, 2012 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
