Obituary for Suzanne C. Dussault

Suzanne C. Dussault, 77, of East Peoria passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.


She was born April 29, 1945, in Battle Creek, MI to George C. and Redabelle Rebecca Smith Rolffs. Her parents; sister, Pauline Tanksley and brother, Burton Rolffs preceded her in death.


She married Robert G. Dussault March 23, 1968, in Battle Creek, MI; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Steven (Beverly) Dussault, Jacqueline (Michael) Curran, Becky (Ed) Hopkins, Cecelia R. Dussault and grandchildren, Nicholas (Kayli) Hopkins, Payton Hopkins, Kendall Curran, Marlee Curran, Avery Curran, Caden Curran, Evelyn Dussault and Lily Dussault.


Suzanne attended Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI and Michigan State University. She was a teacher at St. Mark Catholic School, retiring in 2000.


She loved her family and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Suzanne held the record for butterfly stroke in swimming at Battle Creek High School. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.


Suzanne was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton where a funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Monsignor Gerald Ward will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the mass. Inurnment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum in Peoria at a later date.


Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in her name.
