Obituary for Thomas Hill
Thomas J. “TJ” Hill, 64, of Green Valley passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 19, 1949 in Peoria to William J. and Patricia L. Keller Hill. He married Susan Gerrietts July 29, 1972 in Green Valley. She survives along with his sons, Josh (Xuan) Hill of Richmond, TX, Jed Hill of Green Valley; brother, William “Bill” (Ronda) Hill of Pekin; mother-in-law, Mary Gerrietts of Green Valley; uncle and aunt, Tom (Judy) Keller of Sun City West, AZ and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jamie Janssen; father-in-law, Raymond Gerrietts and aunt and uncle, Mary Kay and John Abts. Tom served in the U.S. Army and worked for Caterpillar. He was a member of the American Legion Pekin Post 44 and a member in good standing of the UAW Local 974. Cremation has been accorded and a visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Green Valley Cemetery in Green Valley at 3 p.m. Military rites will be accorded. Pastor Bruce Bolin Ghitalla will officiate. Memorial may be made to Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
