Obituary for Thomas Oja
Thomas Alan Oja, 64, of Cuba passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born September 14, 1948 in Dupage County, IL to Elmer and Jane Thacker Oja. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Oja; mother and step-father, Jane (George) Meuth and sister, Karen Cromie. He is survived by his son, Thomas A. Oja Jr. of Florida; brother, Dennis Oja of Cuba; one niece; four nephews and step-brothers, Weston (Kathleen) Meuth of Canton, Todd Meuth of Canton and Patterson (Joyce) Meuth of Waukeegan, IL. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Russell Smith Post 533 in Cuba. He was a self employed Plumber. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting. Cremation has been accorded and per his request no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Russell Smith Post 533 in Cuba in his name.
