Obituary for Timm Ferdinand
Timm Ferdinand 49, beloved son of Alice and Howard Ferdinand passed away at his home in East Peoria on July 25, 2008. From your family “Be at peace Timm, you fought the good fight and did it with honor”. Timm is survived by his mother of East Peoria, brother Jed (Anita) Ferdinand of Bettendorf, IA and 3 nephews and 1 great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father. Timm was an avid fisherman, boater and hockey fan. He spent many days along the banks of the Illinois river and the shores of Lake Michigan waiting for “The Big One”. He was a fan of Riverman Hockey from the first year they played here. He assisted the team as photographer and made friendships with many team members during the team’s early years. He was an avid boater and member of the East Peoria Boat Club. A very special thank you to all the members of the East Peoria Boat Club, some of Timm’s greatest times were spent with you. Timm will miss you and the many good times you and him shared. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 30, at 7 p.m. with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Federated Church 3601 N. Sheridan Rd. in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
