Obituary for Tina Tippett
Tina Marie (Lee) Tippett began her walk with the angels on April 15, 2015 surrounded by her family at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Tina was born on August 7, 1956 the daughter of Maurice (Tom) Lee and Mary (Roese) Lee who both preceded her in death. Tina attended Saint John's Grade School and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady in 1974. Tina felt she was placed on this earth to be a mother and a wife and there were none better in both of these roles. She was a devoted and loving wife, mom and grandma. Tina was selfless, kind and giving; she was the family glue and the loving voice of reason. Tina enjoyed music and she loved to dance and sing. Her spirit lives in all of those she touched. Tina leaves behind her husband Steve, her daughter Marissa (Nick) Rogy, her son Christopher Tippett, and two beautiful grandchildren Gavin and Eveie Rogy. Tina is also survived by her brother Bernie (Brenda) Lee of Bartonville; sister Linda (Bob) Sharp of Carlsbad, CA; and brother Brian (Nancy) Lee of San Diego, CA. Tina is also survived by four nephews (Jeff and Joe Lee, Andy Sharp, and Kevin Day) along with ten nieces (Molly Sharp, Colleen and Erin Day, Amie and Annie Fleming, and Anna, Amanda, Brook, Halle, and Sophe Tippett). A Celebration of Life will be held at Northwoods Community Church on Saturday April 25, 2015. The family will greet those wishing to celebrate Tina's life from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with services beginning at 10:30 am. Cremation rights have been accorded and a private internment of the ashes at Swan Lake Ceremony will be held at a future date. In lieu in flowers donations can be made to the Tina M. Tipppett Memorial Trust for her grandchildren's education held at PNC Bank, 7901 North University, Peoria, IL 61615.
