Obituary for Tommy Dietrich
Tommy Morgan Dietrich, 87, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 9, 1930 in Mason City to Charles and Beulah Morgan Dietrich. He married Janet Lempke November 20, 1955 in Forest City; she survives. He is also survived by his son, Parker (Karen) Dietrich of Washburn; daughters, Anne (Dan) Allen of Pekin, Susan (Mark) Romine of Normal; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremy) McKean, Shannon (Eric) Russell, Tommy (Lauren) Allen, Beth (Deythean) Freisinger, Craig Dietrich, Staci Dietrich, John Dietrich, Ryan Dietrich; great-grandsons, Gavin Russell, Owen Russell and brother, Charles (Helen) Dietrich of Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe Dietrich. Tommy worked for Pekin Insurance for 18 years, was the manager of Manito Food Market and owned and operated Dietrich Claim Service for 5 years and Dietrich Grocery Co. Inc. in Glasford for 15 years; retiring in 2004. He was an avid Cardinals fan and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 35 years. Family was the most important thing to Tommy. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice in his name.
